How far is Tigh Faire from the Main street?
Tigh Faire is 10 mins walk downhill from the main street however its downhill all the way to walk back up it leaves you breathless and takes 20 mins however the loal taxis are only too happy to take you back up the hill if needed there is quite often one waiting outside the coop.
Do we need a car on Mull?
The transport system on mullis very good on weekdays however weekends you may well get stuck a car is preferable but not essential.
How do we get to the isle of Mull?
To Get to Mull you have to come by ferry with thre options you can book the ferry in advance to come from Oban with Caledonian mc brayne or you can just drive to lock aline or Ardnamurchan and get on one of the ferries that run to a timetable but you dont have to bookyou just turn up. https://www.calmac.co.uk/
Are there many outdoor activities on Mull
We work closely with thelocal tourism office here in tobermory they have all the advice what to see and do they have the best advice on which tours will suit your needsand will even book them for you they are not goverment funded and rely on the bookings to keep the service going so please use them.
Is there much to do in the winter on Mull
Although most of the tourist attractions shut down in the winter and some restaurants the wildlife is still there and the local community so there is always something going on to which the community will always welcome you.
Christmas and New year
The time of year when the festive spirit kicks in and everyone celebrates even the ferries shut down for a few days however the local community. and at midnight at new year everyon gathers by the clock tower in Tobermory to see the new year in and to watch the fireworks then back home or to the different parties to carry on the celibration.
